Such a misunderstood analysis – ignores loan fees, expensive wages of free signings as well as signing on fees which are usually ~5x higher when signing free agents.
But here’s the thing, half of their signings are loans. Once the season ends they are back to square one apart from Gundo and Romeu. Its great for this season but its not sustianable.
