7.32 meters is just 24 feet.
7.32? ?
Cross bar on fire is going to be in the Super League for sure ?
I'm sure the guy who suggested the net had enough of picking up the ball from the crowd after every goal
What about the squared posts?
Did They really used crossbar that were on fire and also laser crossbars ?
Europeans get upset that Americans call it soccer but are seemingly fine with a goal that is 8 YARDS wide and 8 FEET tall….
8 feet, by 8 yards. Metric wasnt used in the UK for another 100 years.
Soccer
Ronaldo is the only person I can trust with a real penalty in this match for al nassr?
It almost took them 40 years to get a metal pipe over the goal? ?
They ruled the goalposts should be 8 yards apart. No one in England used metres then.
Why the goalposts should be 7.32meters apart but the crossbar decided to be 8 feet? I mean why use different metric system?
why 7.32 spacificly
7,32 meters is a weird number, is actually 8 yards. 8 yards X 8 feet
Metric? No Sir, try 8 yards wide x 8 feet high..
The street football don't have either upper post not the side post. We use slippers or shoes ??
Piece of football trivia I didn’t know I needed ??
My friends great great something grandad invented the actual crossbar, not the tape
Ah yes, the exact measurement of 7.32 meters
And yet the women's game uses the exact same dimensions even though women are shorter and generate less power through their legs.
this explains how and when. not why. yawn.
Love when people explain the dimensions of something in 2 separate incompatible measurement systems ?
The crossbar was invented by Queen’s Park FC from Scotland
It's 7.32 meters by 8 feet. Yes, they used 2 incompatible measurements. Ig it's not too insane considering the measure the pitch by meters but distance by yards
I bet it said 24 feet, not 7.32m
Would after crossbars are introduced be referred to as 'the post crossbar era'?
Did they rule they should be 7.32 metres apart, or did they rule they should be (whatever that translates into feet & inches) apart, it would seem strange to me for them to rule on metres for width and feet for height
really took them a few decades for a crossbar
7.32 meters by 8 feet tall, what’s going on back then that they measured it out in such a confusing way
It was defined as 8 yards, not 7.32 metres
7.32 meters. Metric in 1863? REALLY? ???
what is the law for the thickness of the crossbar and posts
i watched this at precisely 7:32 am
tbf they didn't choose 7.32m, they chose 24 feet
The small black lines made me thought that my screen is broken or something ??
I thought I broke my phone screen for a sec
So beautiful video's dies this account posts man
I can’t believe it took them three years to finally think “Why don’t we put something across the top of the posts so you can tell if the ball goes under or over?”
Nice
On Tv some posts look wider than others
Like on tv the wembley posts look short but wide same with madrid
Who tf say there and went u know what, 7.32 sounds like a good number
Id suggest the distance is marked as 24 FEET. 7.32 is such an arbitrary number and The FA still publish guidlines for goal and pitch sizes in yards and feet.
It was Scotland who invented the crossbar. Can we please not giving England credit for things that they didn’t do.
