34. But the point system of 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw now needs a change. This point system creates so many dead rubber matches, especially in a group stage of 4 teams, for example recently concluded AFC Asian Cup 2023's last group stage matches.

    I think 4 points for a win and 2 points for a draw is the best system to end dead rubber matches. Because on the last round of the group stage, 2 points for a draw will make some matches decisive for the qualification of a round of 16 rather than being a dead rubber match.
