  1. Arteta did, but he had longer time to get players and implament a solid system. Ten hag just started and we already seeing glimpses of the old days, both are great managers.

  2. Clearly Arteta, ETH inherited Cristiano Ronaldo, Rashford, Bruno, Eriksen, and other big name players. Lots of players full of potential when he arrived. Arteta had to deal with the worst defense in Arsenal’s history

  3. Arteta inherited the worse squad, but he has taken over 3 years to turn it around, and as impressive as it's been, ten hg has taken 6 months. And although you can give Arteta credit for development, Arsenal technically already had Saka, Martinelli, Nketiah, Saliba, Tierney, so the team they showed isn't truly representative.

  4. Eth had a good team they were just previously under a bad coach, the team that Eth has got 2nd place in the prem beating Liverpool Chelsea etc, and that team didn’t even have Casemiro or Martinez.

  5. When Arteta first got to Arsenal it only took him a few months to win the FA Cup with the squad he had. In which they beat Manchester City and Chelsea as well. Also doing decently in the league from where they were beating the likes of Liverpool too. That bounce teams get with new managers can be powerful. Utd fans need to wait when it gets dirty can he pull through with the squad and fans pumping on the other side. That’s when Ten Hag would get the respect. £226M In 6 months? I don’t see what impressive right now.

  6. For sure it was arteta. United's crop of players is nowhere near that bad. Not the quality to win the league but definitely has the quality for a top 4 finish. United also have a good crop of wonderkids coming through and if integrated well like arteta has done and some good additions, then they could become a squad with the quality to win anything.

  7. That’s quite a hard question to answer. Very subjective in term of what situation is worst. But I quite like what Henry talked about ETH recently about how he turned MU squard in a team that is capable of challenging for trophy in 6 months compared to Arteta who took 3 years

But to be fair to arteta, he’s still a young coach who had just step into his first ever managerial job and it’s a top PL team too.

Another interesting point here is both had worked in the coaching staff of Guardiola.
