  1. From the UK here. I can’t believe how bad NZ are. They were never this bad. Some of those goals were diabolical defending. Looks like a 5 year old could score against them.

  2. Naher is the worst goalie in the history of the uswnt. Slow reflexes, poor position, not aggressive enough, always looks panicked and frazzled. I'm so happy to see other, better, goalies getting an opportunity to see playing time.

  3. It also seem the offensive flow was better without Horan. Does Vkatko go back to Horan and resort back to a midfield that has trouble going forward? Horan is good at passing back to her back line defense but really has not shown the ability to push the ball forward without turning it over

  4. yasss this is what we knew they could do!! i just need to see more excitement in them! looks like they dont even care to win the goal LOL BUT OMG I LOVE THIS they look amazing now!!

  6. I'm not used to use the married surname for Mallory Pugh. Why do women have to use her husband's last name? It may have originated with the Napoleonic Civil Code that rules in most countries including New Orleans, a former colony of France. Under this code, women are the property of men. That is why in Spanish-speaking countries, women use the preposition 'of' between the first name and the husband last name. For example, Mallory of Swanson. It means that Mallory is the property of Dansby Swanson.

  7. Rose Lavelle is the best and most intelligent player in the USA team and I'm glad she was given the team captaincy in last night match. She is in a good company with Mallory Pugh-Swanson, Emily Fox, and Lindsey Horan. All of them exceptional players.

  8. so vlatkos like what 3 years in? complained he had little time to prepare for tokyo. has had several competitions now to put a team, any type team, together and still hasnt. has no definite line up. still "trying out" player combinations. 3 MONTHS before a fkn WC. 3 years folks. is anyone else seeing this?? WTF

  9. There is so much positive energy with this newest cycle of talent. Hopefully, with all of these scoring options available, they will finally dispose of the spoiled, whiny b1tch Alex and her bully boyfriend Mike Rapinoe, and allow these women to have fun playing soccer instead of politics.

  10. Feel bad for NZ, took a hammering there. Hopefully they'll do their nation proud when they host the World Cup, having a FIFA World Cup in their country I have a feeling will be huge considering the fact that rugby is treated like a religion in New Zealand so it'll be nice to see another sport getting attention there for a change!

  11. I was fortunate to go to Eden Park and see the USWNT play. Apart from the USA being a class above NZ and Rose Lavelle just being Magical, The Main thing the USA ( and other countries will note ) is that the NZ Pitches are "Slow". Meaning you need more foot pressure to make a quick pass and the long ball will slow down when chipped over ( compared to fast/slick pitches where only a little pressure will get the ball rolling but the long ball will skid out of play). It was only in the 2nd half of this 2nd game that the USA got to grips with this. Note. The world cup is in July ( NZ's winter.) The pitches will be wetter , but Still on the "Slow " side.

  12. But the big question for this coach is: what will be the typical or starting team of the USA for the 2023 World Cup. He doesn't have a fixed team, he changes the players all the time. This may penalize him in major competitions.
