  1. Mr.ZLATAN said it best, when he was in his prime he would have never thought of playing in MLS. So bottom line is this MLS is where these world class players come to retire, i bet you will never see mbappe playing in the USA until he’s 35 plus.

  2. For a long time now, MLS has been the third most popular football (soccer) league in the US. That actually may not change, but the whole Apple deal with global access feels like such a cheat code by making the league so much more popular outside the US and outside North America.

My personal opinion- MLS needs to look at having a broadcast window at 9 or 10 am eastern time on Saturdays and Sundays. Put matches in that time slot on a regular basis that are likely to appeal to a global audience. The South Florida heat is much less bad at that time of the morning, and all of Europe and Africa can watch Messi play in prime time or close to it.

I think that's how MLS can market the league to the largest chunk of the rest of the world. Put four games in that time frame every Saturday/Sunday (between the two of them), add in programming that provides analysis and context, and really target these other time zones with live content on a regular basis. That's how you go from having your foot in the door, to dragging yourself in.
