  1. Messi attracts 4 or 5 defenders every time he touches the ball. This opens up other players. The 2nd goal pass from Messi is insane. It will happen again and again. His teammates need to ready for the unexpected pass any time.

  2. The Messi US Tour continues to bulldoze opponents with top level play! Amazing how one player can change so much, and make a huge difference in how the team plays. I feel lucky to have him in the US. We need to see this type of play.

  3. Messi need to exit this league , he is wasting his talents , hold on europe for 2 or 3 years , he is only 36, hre can still play in europe for 2 or 3 years . This league has no quality and no competition from other teams, too much easy for him

  4. Amazing stuff from Messi since he's arrived at Inter Miami. But holy moly does the MLS ever suck. I mean, I thought they improved a lot since the early years in the 90s and 2000s. But some of the defending I see in these highlights is shocking. They're making Messi look like he's in his prime again. So much ball watching, slow reactions, they leave acres of space to run into and don't even bother chasing the players down when they're through. And the press is non existent.

Messi scored 5 goals in his first year in Ligue 1. And already he's scored nearly as many goals for Miami in less than a month than he did all of last season. And while some were absolute belters that nothing could be done against (like the 2 freekicks in the cup), around half the goals have been down to atrocious defending.

Not sure if Messi coming over is good for the MLS. In terms of marketing, money and entertainment value it is for sure. But the league is making a mockery of itself and being exposed. I seriously thought the MLS was better but I have to say after what Messi has done in a month it's clear that it's still a total joke league. This is the TRUE farmers league. It's embarrassing.

  5. That pass from Messi leading up to the 2nd goal is why he has always been better than Cristiano Ronaldo. They are fairly equal as goal scorers. But passing and playmaking aren't even close between the two. Messi is far better.
